Assisi

Programs: The Accademia

Clinging to a hillside beneath dark Mount Subasio, Assisi is an enchanting hill town located in the Umbria Region. Participants can study Italian here in midst of medieval houses and streets of high pink and white sandstone. Flowers spill from windows, balconies and old staircases. Umbria and Assisi in particular offer an important legacy of medieval art, culture, religion and folklore, as well as remains of Etruscan and Roman civilization.

Florence

Programs: Lorenzo de'MediciIstituto Europeo

An international city of art and culture, Florence is small and beautiful with splendid squares and narrow streets flanked by medieval and Renaissance buildings. It is encircled by hills and divided by the Arno River. Participants can study Italian, studio art, art history, liberal arts and other courses.surrounded by the vivid history of the most celebrated writers and artists -- Giotto, Donatello, Ghiberti, Brunelleschi, Masaccio, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Dante.

Perugia, the "Great Guelph Citadel", is a beautiful medieval city in the Umbrian Region that is rich in art treasures going back to Etruscan times. On this hilltop city in Central Italy, participants have the opportunity to study Italian and a wide range of courses on Italian literature, civilization and culture.

Rome

Programs: The Lorenzo de'Medici school of Rome

Rome is called "la Cittą Eterna" (the Eternal City), and has a history extending nearly 2,800 years. Rome has been the seat of ancient Rome (the Roman Kingdom, Roman Republic, Roman Empire), and later the Papal States, Kingdom of Italy and Italian Republic, and evidence of its rich history is found throughout the city. Rome is home to the Roman Forum, the Vatican, the Pantheon, and countless other churches and monuments, and evidence of Rome?s vast history surrounds the visitor.

Tuscania is a small town situated close on the edge of the Maremma area of Viterbo, Lake Bolsena and the Thyrrenium Sea. The town is rich in examples of Etruscan, Roman and Medieval civilizations. Tuscania’s small size allows students easy immersion in the town and genuine interaction with those who live there.

Venice is a fantasy city with hundreds of bridges and canals navigated by gondolas. Here participants can study Italian, Venetian Civilization and other courses and leisurely experience the wonders of the Grand Canal, elaborate palazzi, Piazza San Marco, rare canvases of Giorgoni, and more.
